I recently lost also my nephew, Josh Bowman, a few days before his 19th birthday. He used to come and visit my place in Maryland whenever he took advanced courses at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and at St. Mary's College in Southern Maryland during summer. The whole family is shocked about his death. Josh had so much to offer. The whole family is left behind with all the unanswered questions of "why".. My son looked after him because he was so smart and creative. We will miss him terribly but I know he is happy with our creator. Life, indeed, is just like a journey and our permanent resting place is in heaven. I believe in the communion of saints so that I encourage everyone to please pray for our loved ones who departed ahead of us and of course they, too, will make a way for us in heaven. When our time comes, I know that our loved ones will be waiting to welcome.

You know it's been 7 years since my 23 year old son passed away and I still think of him and wonder how he is doing. I miss the things he could have been. Even as I type this, tears fall. It's nice to talk to another mom who knows how that pain feels.

I'm not afraid to die as I know that my son will welcome me with his big smile and open arms.

[...] That episode of MOMS made me cry really hard. The topic was “Pagdadalamhati ng isang Ina”. And guess what? Noemi was one of the guests pala! I just didn’t remember her. So when I saw this article on her blog, I was shocked. What a coincidence! The other guests were Alicia Alonzo, Manay Gina de Venecia and there’s another one aside from Noemi, I just forgot got the name. Anyway, that episode was a real tear-jerker. Each of them narrated how they struggled to overcome the loss of their child. It’s an inspiring episode that I couldn’t forget. You don’t need to be in their shoes to feel their pain. [...]

Hello Ms. Mary,

I was deeply touched by that episode "Grieving Moms" specially by your story. I feel for you because I am a mother too. I pray that God will continously comfort you and other grieving moms.

GOd Bless,
