my son is also into rock music... it started early when he was in high school. and now, he works as a web designer on weekdays and lead guitarist on weekends. well, i don't know if i should consider the latter a job, because most of the time, his band (blazing bulalakaws) plays for free..or sometimes very minimal pay .. lol! i wanted him to pursue law, as he has a political-pyschology degree. kasi i also wanted to be a lawyer... haha! funny that we want our kids to fulfill our unfulfilled dreams. but you're right.. it's their life, so let them be where they are happy. we can only support, guide and cheer for them in the background.

hi! as a mom, you rock for giving your daughters the freedom and space to explore and find themselves. and you also express yourself beautifully. i was at the blogcon, but we didn't get to meet. i'll make sure to introduce myself next time. :)

@dexie- most likely your kids will want to play the guitar too. Once you surround the with music, it's a normal part of their life. L said their all girls band hasn't decided on a name . Oh yeah that piercing, I was horrified. She promised to have a neat looking "arrow" once it's healed.

my husband plays guitar very well so i'm hoping my kids will get interested in playing too. actually my son has shown interest so we're gonna get him his own guitar this Christmas :). the baby girl listened to her dad jam when she was still in my tummy so i won't be surprised if she becomes a "rock star" too. :)

so what's your daughter's rock band's name? i've been visiting her site and i smile thinking about you when i read about her new piercings..:).
