I am very happy to see the opening of the Krispy Kreme Donuts store in Manila. In the contrary, the Philippine economy is booming and the country is gaining popularity as the world’s best destination for Medical Tourism. I am a Registered Nurse and a Medical Technologist with a Masters’ Degree here at the University of Sydney. I knew that Filipinos are talented and intelligent people. @dexie- Ah if I were not diabetic, I’d be eating lots myself. My kids just love to eat doughnuts so maybe I will queue during opening day just to win one of those prizes of free doughnut suplly. I just also read in the box about the microwave instructions. Never knew that was how to eat it.

as i’ve been posting all around who has gotten free krispy kreme boxes, this is my guilty pleasure. loaded with calories but ooohh soo good. your girls know the right way to eat them which is to microwave 1 piece for at least 8 seconds. it’s much better warm. when I buy my box for the month, I try to just only half a day. if i can’t help myself by eating 1 I always increase my work out..hehe. coz they definitely go to your hips and thighs if you’re not careful..:)

@van- I probably gained a pound after eating one Krispy Kreme.

@Patty- Krispy Kreme opens November 30 but they are sending samples around Manila because they will rely on word of mouth advertising. Also , it’s a test run on their production

@cris- Well eating it one at a time would be great since it will cost less

it’s funny, here in philadelphia most people prefer dunkin donuts (even over starbucks for coffee) that the nearest krispy kreme is miles away from the city center. and in new york, krisy kreme is only available in a couple of places now (penn station and somewhere near ground zero if i’m not mistaken). thing with krispy kreme is their donuts are so sweet, you can only eat like one at a time.
