my problem's not the holidays.  i gain weight when i'm stressed.  my dad was diagnosed w/ lung cancer early part of nov and passed away dec 7.  within that period i gained at least 10 pounds.  

when a friend came to the wake, she asked, how r you? i answered i was ok, "look, i am comforting myself" ... referring to the plateful of food i had in my hand.  it was meant as a joke but it was true.</description>

		<description>@dexie- that's a lot of food to prepare. Hats off to you. I usually bake apple pie but this time I will use a sugar substitute. With helpers around, it isn't tedious. I don;t know how you manage. I bet you 're going to prepare some of it days before the day.</description>

anyhoo, my menu this year is : Ham, green beans casserole, cornbread casserole, lumpias, and fried rice. For sweets i'm opting for peanut butter balls and cookies i'm actually baking as I type this :).

I usually make apple pie but it's just too tedious that I decided not to make it this year. I was actually going to make tiramisu but couldn't find the damn ladyfingers anywhere. Anyway, I'm also not making yema and leche flan this year. Blame it on the new baby..LOL. I wish I have another set of hands so I could make everything, yah know?.
