Affirming the good for the New Year 2007
Tonight as my family light up the Serenity Fireworks Fountains of Peace, Harmony,Serenity, Unity , Friendship, Love, I will affirm the good things for the New year 2007. I will offer a prayer, wait and expect good things to happen to me and my loved ones. Whenever I wonder what is coming, I tell myself the best is coming, the very best love and life have to offer, the best God has to send. I open my hands to receive to claim it and it’s mine.
I see the best in my mind and envision what it will look and feel like. Then I let it go without obsessing over it. Instead I become excited and express gratitude for all that I have achieved this year, all that I am and for all that I will become.
I am thankful for all the blessings for the year 2006 such as…
1. The award and recognition of this personal blog which I started only last February 24, 2006 is truly God’s work . Because of this blog, I have somehow reached a few bereaved family members or even readers with various degrees of losses in their lives.
2. New friends especially bloggers whom I finally met through Blog Conferences and Blog meetup. I’ve never felt so accepted. (I don’t have close friends who share my passion for the the internet. For years, I felt like I was alone in this.)
3. Expansion of my e-commerce ventures to problogging yielded more financial independence.
4. A loving husband who worked hard to fight for my love which resulted to a second wind of our marriage.
5. Two loving daughters who inspite of our troubled past struggle to take care of themselves inspite the challenges they face.
6. Setting of boundaries especially todysfunctional family members. I received so much flack because of this. I don’t have to let flack pull me into old ways since I’ve decided on what I want and need to change.
Today when I think of the year ahead of me, I will focus on the good that is coming.
Happy New Year to all.
