@kris- it is the fear of the unknown that parents fear..actually

@Jane- It's always amazing to meet the face behind the blog. I am amazed at new friendships formed. Yes kids also read my blog maybe for wisdom since I am older . I also read kids' blogs to be in tune with the times.

Hi Noemi! Was so happy to finally meet the face behind the Touched By An Angel blog. Will email you pics I took of you both (plus pic of you and me so you can remember who I was amongst all the bloggers you met).

My kids were bloggers way, way before me and I never understood what kept them awake till past midnight till I tried blogging myself. Now, it is my "connect" with their generation. They actually take time to comment on some of my posts (believe it or not).

Their friends think it's COOL that their Mom blogs. And I am happy they actually invited me into their blogs (cuss words and all in some of them). Through their blogs, I have a bird's eye view of who their friends are as well. Nice!

The blogging summit was an eye-opener (meaning, I realized how much I did not know about blogging). It was also enriching (i.e., meeting people like you and other newbie bloggers like me). And motivating (if you guys can do it, then maybe I have a chance to make a go of mine as well).

See you around the blogosphere and hopefully, next summit.

I think that's why I didn't want my mom to know. I was afraid that she'd be paranoid and she wouldn't let me go online anymore. And back then she wouldn't even touch the computer so, it was harder to explain to her (or at least, I assumed it was harder). Didn't think she'd understand the whole fuss about weblogging and chatting online. But now it's alright since I'm twenty-one and living away from home. Keeps her posted. Though the phone bills still pile up. :S Hehe. :P

@Prudence- I hope you are well now. Maybe next time. I heard it is ging to be regional

@dexie- Thanks. After her talk, I think she gained an ounce of confidence.

@sexy mom- yes that is so right. We got to know a bit of each other through our entries. And it was really nice to meet BA, even made better that Marielle and BA were classmates. it's so cool.

@kris- hi. I knew that Lauren had a blog ever since she was 10 years old. I monitored it till her 16th year because I was afraid she might give out too much information. My main concern was no address, no contact numbers and no description of her school or home. Mainly security reasons. About her thoughts, I would try to understand. Along the way, she learned what was bloggable and not bloggable. After all thoughts are just thoughts unless it is suicidal or criminal in nature...I would not bother thinking much about it.

about cussing, i wouldn't think too much about it if done in front of friends or in the blog. However, social norms especially in front of business or older people might frown upon it. And young people know this.

I might get flak from your mom but I've learned to adapt to the youngster of this generation. Let her blog and share her knowledge to other moms. Let her join our 70 plus Pinoy Moms network member at http://pinoymomsnetwork.com

Hi! :) I was the one who asked the question. Anyway, I was just curious with how it was for the both of you. I used to hide my blog from my mom and she discovered it when my sister left the PC running with my page on the screen. Mom called me up to tell me she read it. Oh lords! She complained on how everyone else could read it and why wasn't she allowed to do so too. Oo nga naman. So yeah. She doesn't like it too that I cuss (which like Lauren I refrain from doing when I'm infront of her) but since I am my dad's daughter and my grandfather's granddaughter, she reminds me that I got it from their side and not hers. =P Will refer my mom to your site. I'll ask her to start blogging too. Hehe.
