Photo Hunt 2: Rare

Photo Hunters
Photo Hunters’ members post every Saturday based on a theme chosen by the founder of the group. You can join here. Today’s theme is “Rare” .

antique
An antique village in a Tiendesitas, a unique shopping place mall in Metro Manila is an exciting place to find rare pieces of Filipiniana or Spanish inspired furniture. One can even buy antique jewelry. Prices are also quite reasonable. It’s rare to find these shopping havens that have interesting pieces.

I love going to antique shops and it’s certainly a place where you can find wonderful rare items!! I was gone to an antique shop last weekend but the prices were very expensive so I didn’t buy anything…sigh! Have a wonderful weekend!!

I love antique stores. To some people it’s nothing but a junk store. To me it’s more of a history lesson, if each artifact had a story with it of what that item has seen and been through it would definitely change the attitudes of those who don’t want to enter such stores.
Great entry.

Little nooks and crannies in these shops can hold some rare surprises! Great shot for the theme this week.

I used to love going to those kinds of shops at Greenhills when I was in the Philippines. Not necessarily to buy, but to look at the interesting Filipiniana. I’ve always been fascinated by Filipiniana because I grew up here in Canada, but always maintained strong ties with family there. I learned a lot about Philippine history and culture during my too short a stay there. Needless to say such shops are an absolute rarity here, so thanks for the nostalgia. Mabuhay and a belated welcome to the photohunt. Happy Hunting :)

That looks very comfortable, leisurely and inviting for shopping!
