A Sensual Experience

butch

”Hmmm, so this is what sensual means…”. I could hear his voice .

okay fine …I didn’t torture my husband by blindfolding him as he ate his lunch. You see, we both underwent a sensual experience with eight utlimate mouth-watering dishes from Serye Restaurant.

I was blindfolded myself when I took a photo of my husband as he participated in the first ever Food Writing Class at Serye Restaurant.

Poor Sexy Mom is in a dilemma as she contemplates on the food she just tasted.

serye

and so with the other foodie bloggers.

So why did I subject myself to such torture?

The truth is my Food Photo Blog lacks creativity and excitement. I started this food blog a year ago because my photo gallery receives so much hits and well, Google adsense income. Thanks to organic search hits from Filipino-Americans , my food blog ranks well in most keywords. It embarasses me that I don’t come up with quality writing. I just place photos and short captions. To make matters worse, I get invited to food events. I don’t need to write about these events but I want to because it means more quality content for my food blog. The problem is I don’t know how to do a food review.

Thanks to Jayvee’s intiative, the first blogger food writing and photography class was launched yesterday.

I dragged my husband to the workshop so he could co-write in my Food Blog. Was it torture for him?

Go read my husband’s review on his sensual experience , at the Food Writing Class at Serye Restaurant

Wow, ibang klaseng workshop ito, from the looks of your photos, ah. Hmmm. I should ask you guys about starting up a food blog, hehe.

But wait, if I only know how to appreciate good food but do not know how to whip up a mean dish, will I ever get to have a food blog? Maybe that’s a stupid question.

@jane- yes a different kind of workshop. You can start a food blog and it doesn’t necessarily mean that you cook. You can blog about the dining places you have been to.

@Liz- a food blog is always interesting. Even pictures of street food can be captivating.

Wow, what a cool idea. I wish I could’ve gone to a class like that. I like to blog often about food, but usually… ehrr, I’m not actually “food blogging” in the normal way like others. Food is usually a metaphor for the real (sometimes cryptic) topic. Those entries are usually my biggest hits.

FOR EXAMPLE, STRAWBERRY KISS. ;)

Hi, Noems! Please tell Butch that I enjoyed reading about his food-tasting experience (and his memories) — and liked it so much that I forwarded your links to Pearl Parmelee, a friend who helps promote Mama Sita products here in the US.

love,

Lorna

P.S. Eating good food is truly a sensual experience!

even when you yourself were blindfolded you knew when to shoot the right moment–my momentary loss. it was indeed a sensual experience. i hope to come up one of these days with my own food blog, as what you have been suggesting to me. thanks for the idea.

It was definitely a great experience. And besides the workshop, it was really nice meeting celebrity bloggers like you and sexy mom :)

I have yet to write my own experience though. Your husband did a great job with his composition.
