She is indeed a successful Filipina woman. I admire her for her investments in the Sorsogon college–not purely financial investment, but going there physically. why, with her wealth, she could just have easily let others do this for her.

Loida is as nice as you think she is — AND more. You have to work with her to truly understand her strength and resilience. I’ve known her to manage conflict well and with grace. The best part is that she remains unassuming. She’s very down-to-earth with what she says and do that sometimes people cannot relate to that non-iconic behavior and get totally nonplussed and discombobulated (and that is not her intention). Truly, some of us just want to get invited to her East Hampton home sometime in the future, haha.

Loida, if you’re reading this, do remember that you are my favorite “hatchet girl.” (a private joke)

Noemi, Ms. Lewis is such an admirable lady. I’ve watched some interviews with her before, I’m amazed by what she’s doing in her home province and I’ve heard she helped/supported some GMA-projects in the countryside. I just hope all successful Pinoys abroad would do the same.

WOW how blessed you are to have met and interviewed Loida Nicolas Lewis! I saw a feature of her on the Lifestyle channel and since then I’ve been a HUGE fan. Yes, what am amazing lady with such a steadfast faith that we should all emulate!

And, I agree, Virgin Coconut Oil works wonders!

I’ve been reading news about her since I was in High School in Bicol. Very Inspiring, A courageous and Intelligent Bicolana. Lewis was the first Asian (American) to pass the American Bar without having been educated in the United States.
