When we were stopped at SM Hypermart yesterday, my son who was driving told the security people: "sana gawin nyo ito lagi and hindi lang sa loob ng susunod na buwan." Yes, we try to fathom dark motivations (political, insurgent, etc.) patterns. Who knows ha. Well better to try to be analytical than to wallow in despair. I don't want to say we're hopeless. And now they’re tightening on security again in the malls. I was shocked and immediately sent text messages to family and friends within the area. It was a blessing in disguise for me and my husband. We were supposed to go there that very same day but something came up and we weren’t able to go. I’m glad that God protected us from harm. I feel sorry for the innocent people who died and for the people who got hurt from the blast. I received an SMS from Rowena, a fellow blogger. Terrorism, be it in Manila, Bali or Jakarta, is simply pre-meditated mass murder in a war that they have openly declared against the humanity. They are people who are bred to kill, brainwashed from a very early age to believe that they are doing it for the right reason. Hopefully the authorities there can find the actual motives behind such acts and get investigated soon. My sympathies go to the filipino people & families who have just suffered loss of loved ones.
