My dad was a building contractor but he didn't teach us to invest; my mom and her parents divested agricultural properties for education, health and living needs. I didn't follow their footsteps; when I was single and my pay small, I bought a lot where we had our home built. Am encouraging my kids to save and invest whenever they get money from sidelines and summer jobs. They can just afford baby blue chip stocks at the moment. After a year or two, when they have funds, I will ask them to go to you for investment tips. It would be best to learn from a pro and a mom like you. Thanks for sharing.
