Gosh Noemi, Belle is right, you're not alone....One time, I left the house with the water heater on (in a pail of water, hot shower's not working). Good thing, hubby entered the bathroom and switch it off. I forgot to buy hubby's meds when that was the reason I was at the Mercury Drug Store, bought groceries instead. and I forgot there's no maid to cook our dinner at 9 p.m. the other day, he he...Maybe I should take Memory Plus or glutaphos daily.

@rhodora- I don't forget task for the day though. My problem that day was performing the task. hehe. I have a planner now which is useful to me for scheduled tasks.

I list down things I need to do the following day on a post-it pad. Then I post it on my pc monitor. This way, as soon as I get up, I am immediately reminded. Somehow, this has become a routine that I can't sleep without posting my list first. But I also tend to get caught with multi-tasking sometimes, especially when unexpected eventualities arise during the day. :)

My absent-mindedness is so much worse. On a trip to Naga, when we were about to leave for the beach, I kept on asking myself what I have forgotten. Yaiks! I forgot that since I had no nanny with me and I had to pack our things, I left my daughter with my aunt who lives right behind our house. Major senior moment, and I'm not even 40.

Housekeys--I go bonkers over those too. sigh.

Actually a great way to maintain 'brain health' is to regularly 'train' your brain by memorising stuff etc. At the end of the day, keeping things in regular working order can be the best method to keeping them in tip top shape!

you know what? at 1:40 am, while reading your post, one of my sons, Vince, asked me, "Mom, what are you cooking?" the only people awake were vince, myself and 2 of my girls--and my kids know i don't cook.

aargh!!! forgetfulness! i was boiling a cup of water, which i entirely forgot about. the pot was almost empty. anyway, God sends his angels, i believe so.

what do i do so as not to forget? i just tell my kids to remind me of this and that. and i activate the alarm on my cell phone.

for memory not to totally forget me (or is it the other way round, i forgot which is which)--i do crossword puzzles, sudoku, jumble, and any other word games on hand.
