Its a sign of the times. People have developed different ways in communicating their ideas and opinions. It so happened that people have found blogs as their platform in expressing their ideas and opinions and that others respect them for what they do. It is of course, a good thing that others are recognizing that bloggers/individuals have their own way of getting their message across too, like the mainstream media.

@BrianB- I speak only for myself. I see myself as a person who has access to internet, the computer and who happens to have readers and built a community. For me, that is slightly out of the ordinary. Whatever content I write here are my opinions and experience. In this entry I discuss my experience in meeting the senator. My blog can never replace mainstream media and does not intend to. This blog is for me and my readers and their readers.

I, as a mother who happens to be a blogger, play a distinct and modest role in democracy. I do not see myself removed from the public. I am very much part of society. I care about the future of my children just like any mother. As a blogger, I share that to my readers.
