That’s why I dim the LCD screen. Good thing I don’t have your cellphone number or you will be one of my innocent victims of missed calls and “weird” text messages. Hah, I need to be careful when auto correction replaces words.

Wow, I like the grocery gadget app. It’s exactly what I need!

Yeah, I saw 1 missed call from you last night. Good thing my phone was on silent. hehe.

Maybe hub needs the 3g iPhone. (and then he will hand it down to moi!) I shall suggest.

I am into the negative features … hehehe so I guess Apples are just not for me … My Mac died on me while I was using it for 6 months … such a heart breaker

Didn’t you bring it to the Apple Center? I have been there and they are quite good. My hard disk crashed two days after my warranty expired. They replaced my hard disk without much fuss.

Another way you can increase battery life is by leaving the Bluetooth and GPS radios off. I also turn off the wi-fi antenna whenever I know that there’s no chance I’ll be near a hotspot (like, e.g., when I’m driving). Also, if you have Push services toggled on, the phone opens a GSM connection every minute or so to query the MobileMe server (or whatever email provider you’ve got setup). As you can imagine, this kind of activity tends to be a drain on battery life.

The battery life is no biggie, imho, because every single touch-capable smart phone I’ve owned over the past 2 years (HP Mobile Messenger, Samsung Blackjack, Sony Ericsson P1i) have all used up their batteries within about 24 hours if you’ve got everything running.

BTW, if you haven’t tried MobileMe yet, I highly recommend it. There’s something magical about entering a new contact vcard or a new calendar entry on your iPhone and having that information propagate automatically across every machine you own within a few seconds.

Thanks Luis for the tips. I have done all of that except for MobileMe. I am still considering it because it costs like $100

Glad you’re enjoying your iPhone 3G. I’m an iPhone use too but I have the 1st generation iPhone. I didn’t see the need for me to upgrade because I don’t use mobile internet that much (EDGE/GPRS). I just rely on WiFi. There’s no group SMS but you could send to multiple contacts so that should do the trick. :)

I have a feeling Apple will be releasing a new iPhone very soon. They just released the new iPod Nano and iPod Touch this week.

I hope this won’t make you regret your purchase of the iPhone because if I were in your place, I would big time :)

sorry to disappoint you, I won’t regret it even if they came out with a model tomorrow. Apple is known to come out with new models. I bought a black macbook last year even if I knew Apple will release a new model as they always do.

That’s the way technology works.

I totally agree. One week after I bought my EeePC 900 they released the EeePC 1000 series. Bummer! :)

Glad you’re enjoying it as much as I do. But mine is the first version (had it last March), hence, it still has no 3G. Despite the few limitations, it’s still a great ‘baby’. Happy weekend!

Btw, to save on the battery, I do put the wifi settings as off if not so necessary. And yes, to put in a dim mode. I hope you’ve fully adjusted to typing now. I had difficulty in the first week especially with the auto complete. ;)

That’s such a wonderful gadget. I love the big LCD screen. I think it’s so cool that you can view your blog page on it.

I wish I didn’t redeem my Globe Loyalty Reward last year and waited for this one. If I only knew.

My mom got a white 16gb and she’s just so into tapping it the whole day. She’s never been into gadgets until the iphone 3g…hahaha, she’s so persistent in learning the ropes in having that phone unlike her previous mobile phones.

iphone is great for moms. Large display and fonts are quite appealing. I didn’t need the 16b GB because I don’t store music.

I have one of these. After a few weeks the novelty factor wore off, though in my opinion it has one of the best mobile user interfaces on the market. I am not happy with the 3G radio since I never seem to get a good signal.

Guys,

Need your advise. ☺

i’m planning to buy an iPhone next month.

Overall…

Would you say that it’s all worth the money???

Is it true that it hangs???

And when it does, is it true din ba na u have to wait na ma “no batt” state siya?…

Confused.☺☻
