The village usually celebrated Trick or Treat the Saturday nearest to Oct. 31. I also decorate our house because there's also a prize for the Scariest Home. I grew up not celebrating Halloween as my son is experiencing now. My siblings and I make a bonfire in the yard where we roast hotdogs and tell ghost stories to each Nov. 1 meant cooking biko and suman and the family praying the rosary at 6pm. Nov. 2 we pray the rosary again in the evening and offer them to our dead relatives.
