Guava, the best fruit

At the c5 junction, a street vendor dangled plastic bags of huge guavas in front of the car. Knowing that guava is a rich source of vitamin C, I thought that it might give a boost to my immune system. I still have colds.
Magkano? (how much?)
160 pesos.
Mahal! (expensive) Rolls up car window.
The vendor persistently knocked at my window.
My kind-hearted daughter pitied the vendor: Mom, he has to make a living. At least he’s not begging. .
I rolled down the window. Okay, 100 pesos .
The poor vendor says : dagdagan mo ng 20 pesos (Add 20 pesos more). I got my 5 pieces of huge guavas.
Here I am munching guava fruit contentedly as I work at my computer station. Curious on how much vitamin C content it contained, I found this.
One guava has 165 milligrams (mg) of vitamin C, while one orange has a mere 69mg. This delicious fruit is also a good source of beta carotene, lycopene, potassium and soluble fiber.
It also contains key nutrients like: vitamin C, carotenoids, folate, potassium, fiber, calcium and iron. What a fantastic fruit! And 3 ways that guava makes us healthy: Curtails Cancer, Helps Your Heart, Treats Diabetes.
Wow, and it is quite filling too.
I might just try this Guava Berry Pie recipe one day.
