Love and Affirmation

A flurry of activities, eye bags, and a dire lack of sleep is a daily fare the past two weeks. I thought to myself “The husband is not pleased with my busy schedule”. As you might know now, I am the project editor of blogwatch.ph, a new media initiative for May 2010 elections. To add to that, I got hired effective January 18, 2010 as Features editor for the Philippine Online Chronicles, an alternative online media of which I am so proud to be part of and so with 9 other new contributing editors.
Add to that the five presidential interviews in a span of 12 days, election forums, workshops, the past days have been really hectic but enjoyable. It’s nice to do something for the country in my own little way. I grew up with a father who was actively involved with elections as head of “Operation Quick Count”. Heck my first word was probably “GET OUT AND VOTE” since I saw posters of them around the house.
As I head off to another election-related appointment, my husband kissed my forehead “I am proud of what you are doing”. I felt my heart “melt” with joy.
Now that’s affirmation. I didn’t really feel the need for affirmation but it felt reassuring to know he wasn’t feeling neglected. I feel even empowered to be better. It is quite endearing. I face a new task everyday and they can be challenging.
What’s most important to you and me is our own self-affirmation.
- My body is healthy and functioning in a very good way.
- I have a lot of energy.
- I study and comprehend fast.
- I am successful in whatever I do.
- I am calm and relaxed in every situation.
- My thoughts are under my control.
- I radiate love and happiness.
- I am surrounded by love
- Everything is getting better every day.
- My husband’s affirmation is the icing on the cake.
