Pinoy Entrepreneurship: Fil-Negosyo Expo 2006

fil negosyolectureI had a lot of time to kill before picking up my daughters at their dorm yesterday. I knew about the Fil Negosyo Expo 2006 at the 5th floor Megatrade Hall, SM Megamall starting on June 23 till July 2, 2006 . My curiosity got the better of me. What are the latest small business ventures that one can enter to these days? I wanted to see if some existing businesses could complement my ecommerce plans. A quick glance at the booths showed that most of the business ventures didn’t need a lot of capital.

A number of e-load dealers touting “1 SIM Load all” in the expo proved that the e-load retailing is a multi-billion industry. There was the eNegosyo, d-loads, Load Xtreme and Megaload. One thing in common with this business is networking opportunity and low capital requirement . For instance the capital for the retailing with networking business is 500 pesos ($9.40) enegosyo , 800 pesos ($15.00) for d-loads , and 16,000 pesos ($301) for Load Xtreme. Megaload claims it has no networking so its capital outlay is only 299 pesos ($5.60). It looks like Load Xtreme makes a killing just on networking model.

megaloadLoad XtremeSince I already had an eLoad retailing at home, I invested 500 pesos at eNegosyo to complement my existing eload services. Why enegosyo? Though they are relatively new, they had a professional demonstration at their booth. Well, it’s also because their financial goals seemed more realistic. It remains to be seen if they are really reliable but hey, 500 pesos isn’t going to kill me. Take risks, right! (Add me as your sponsor if you’re joining eNegosyo )

franchisepotdogAnother business opportunity I’ve always wanted to pursue is a franchise in the food industry. I got to talk to Mia, a partner of Chillers and she said that their franchise fee is 150,000 pesos ($2,830) for 5 year term. The same cost is true for Potdog and “Pinoy Inihaw” (the first smokeless Inihaw Station). The ministop requirement ranges from 1.3 million pesos to 2.8 million pesos . RK franchise consultancy booth also provides you with list of available franchises and even a franchise seminar for 995 pesos. Then again, veering away too much from my core business might not be a good idea. A coffee shop is ideal for me but I read that the franchise cost is 700,000 pesos ($13,200).

The expo didn’t exactly generate much excitement in me. Perhaps the other visitors got some ideas. I’ll probably get more hyped up with the upcoming Voip Conference on Monday . Oh well, at least I got to buy my coconut gugo shampoo which is hard to find in the supermarket.

  2. i joined load xtreme last feb and so far it’s doing great. I got my P16,000 back already in just 5 months, but I’m still a couple thousand pesos short of my main capital. I am not the one who’s managing it by the way my Gf is, i just hope i will not regret this investment someday. 🙂

  3. ei,
my gf and i are interested in venturing the eload biz. im kinda curious about the xtreme load thing, do you know any websites i can visit for xtreme load? coz i’ve already searched with google but so far i only found sites for enegosyo and mega load.

thanks for your time and goodluck on your recov!

    gw.

  4. I prefer enegosyo though because they are still new. Go visit their office or call them at 372-0022 and use my name as your referral: Noemi L. Dado or through my enegosyo cellphone number: 09287922341

  5. IE 6 has many CSS issues. This version of IE is not standards compliant. It is unfortunate that almost 80% of all Internet Users still use it. At least the newer IE version, IE7 is said to be more web standards compliant.

Ey, my sister is also planning on starting an eLoad business in Antipolo. How’s your biz so far?

  6. I’m a dealer for loadxtreme. And it sucks!!! The system has been down for every weekend since at least the start of June and is down for the whole of July and I don’t know what to say to my retailers. Bengco (the owner) doesn’t know how to run good business. I thinks their funds have dwindled due to their networking nature. And to think the capital output i gave was so high!

    GO WITH OTHER LOADING BUSINESS!!!
    LOADXTREME SUCKS BIGTIME!!!

  7. im kinda interested with the the eload biz. but im not familiar with enogosyo, dload, and load xtreme. what are their differences? do you know any websites i can visit to compare the three and know about the biz?

  8. I don’t know with you yeba, but I’ve been here in Loadxtreme for months and I can say that my earnings are great! Yes, there had a been a tough time, it took almost 2 months to bring the system back to it’s former glory, but hey, the problem’s fixed. There had been attacks both to the company and the system that’s why there had been problems. But you know what, only successful people look at problems as opportunities, that’s why we are still here in this business, FLOURISHING! I also admire the owner of the company because he did everything he can to support and save the company.

For all of you guys out there who what to venture on the eload business, it’s up to you whether you want to go directly to the telcos or go and invest on enegosyo, wimax, dloads, etc. It’s your decision, it’s your money anyways. But for me, my investment in Loadxtreme is not a flop, it’s actually a huge help for me. I invested 16K and I had my ROI in just a month. My boyfriend, on the other hand, did it in just 3 weeks. There are lot of dealers right now who are earning more than what they were earning before they came into this business. Also, Loadxtreme has been up and running for 4 years already, the system has been tried and tested, already made a lot of millionaires. It is also the first, EVER, universal prepaid loading system. Hey, I am a developer, so I can say that the system is good. Well, there are no perfect systems anyway, even Globe, Sun and Smart had downtimes too.. So does loadxtreme. But you know what, success is not actually the number of times you won, but the numbers of times you get up when you fall… (I’m not sure with this quote though, I remember only fragments.. But hope you get the point!) Tc and God bless to you guys! ^___^

  9. I am a retailer of load xtreme and sobrang nakakabadtrip..
I’m no longer interested w/ this monkey bus.

  10. i have tried that load extreme before and it was a piece of junk.. try another business..maybe you want my new business..it’s PERSONAL COLLECTION..its a direct selling business and i’m sure you’ll like it coz the products are high quality and cheaper than the one on the department stores..its home care products…
